CMJ Music Marathon 2013
Creating print/digital branding campaign for the biggest indie music festival in New York City came very close to a dream gig. The challenge was creating visuals that would stand out amongst the numerous unofficial showcases and parties that happen concurrently. I avoided the common music festival tropes of band lists and illustrated characters, focusing on the concept of emerging artists. Using a minimal layout, interacting colors and the negative spaces of C-M-J, I hope to evoke the dynamic of surfacing.
