Bike Advocacy

Bike Advocacy
As an avid cyclist it's been my goal to help promote and encourage biking as a method of transportation. Over the years I've worked with like-minded folks of New York City DOT, Transportation Alternatives, and Bike St. Louis among others, seeing the number of city cyclists skyrocket, due in no small part to clear design and messaging.

Bike Month NYC
In the course of four years, I've worked on four distinct Bike Month NYC campaigns. Each ran as subway, bus and billboard marketing throughout the five boroughs. The concept was to make cycling look fun, safe and simple, through color, illustration, copy and photography(for the last two campaigns.)

BTW:
I now know the intricacies of illustrating all types of bikes and staging a complex bike photoshoot.

NYC Century Bike Tour
The visual identity for NYC's toughest bike tour included posters, mailers, maps, premium jerseys, tees, and water bottles. 100 Miles through the 4 borroughs on a hot September day, truly is a rite(and ride) of passage.

FUN FACT:
We originally came up with the tagline "Join the 100-Mile Club", which was unfortunately already in use by a San Diego cycling club.
